Scientific coordinator for Marine Biology and Environmental Science courses, Lecturer in Marine Biology
Dr. Alexia Massa-Gallucci is a marine and fishery biologist with an extensive experience in applied research, fieldwork, data analysis and writing in both marine science and conservation biology. She completed her undergraduate study in the University of Naples and obtained a PhD in Fisheries Biology in Ireland at University College Dublin for research on the management and conservation of wild fish populations. She pursued post-doc research projects in a variety of subjects from conservation biology and environmental sustainability to impact of ocean acidification on marine biodiversity using both ecological and molecular methods to address conservation issues. Dr. Massa- Gallucci has also extensive teaching experience as lecturer for Arcadia University and SCIE Center re-named recently EXEDRA Mediterranean Centre. She currently collaborates with EXEDRA Mediterranean Centre as part-time lecturer and course coordinator for Marine Biology and Environmental Science. She currently works as Senior Scientific Consultant at AquaBioTech Group, an international consultancy company based in Malta, where she is involved in research and management of EU funded projects.
