Coming to EXEDRA Mediterranean Center means taking a step into the past. Palazzo Francica Nava, an old 15th-century building standing on the corner of Piazza Duomo, has the high ceilings and spacious, airy rooms of a baroque residence with the equipment needed for modern learning; wifi, projectors, white-boards. Some rooms are reminiscent of the set of The Leopard, while others are modern and functional study areas.
The library has is dedicated to subjects with a Mediterranean connection.
Subject areas include archaeology, art history, classics, Italian literature, earth sciences, political sciences, media studies.
A special section is dedicated to Sicily with guides, history, and Sicilian writers in Italian and English.
Another focuses on Sport in the Ancient World with a glance at ethics and philosophy of sport.
We are open to proposals for cultural events, concerts, conferences, exhibitions, and more.
